University of Malaga (UMA)

The University of Malaga (UMA) is a leading public institution of higher education in Spain that promotes educational innovation and research, focusing on the excellence of its faculty and research groups. It is part of the campus of excellence “Andalucía Tech,” a reference in the academic field. The UMA has 19 centers, 2 affiliated centers, 72 Departments, 117 courses offered, 2689 professors, 33718 students, 317 active national projects, 45 European projects. 

The university is distributed mainly in two campuses: Teatinos Campus: Located in the northwest of the city, it houses most of the faculties and technical schools. This campus is in the process of expansion and has facilities such as the General Library, a sports complex and the Contenedor Cultural cultural center. In addition, the Ada Byron, Green Ray and Paraninfo buildings and the Government Pavilion are located on this campus. El Ejido Campus: Located near the historic center of Malaga, it houses the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies, the Faculty of Fine Arts and the School of Architecture. 

The UMA has developed a solid internal quality assurance system, in line with European and national policies, and maintains a close relationship with the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA). UMA continues to be a key institution in the educational, cultural and economic development of the region, committed to academic excellence and the comprehensive training of its students.
